August Birthdays

We had two birthdays to celebrate this August.  On the day we returned from Timberman, Shawn celebrated her 29th birthday. Again. We took her and her mom out for dinner and made her blow out a candle and have the waitstaff sing to her - you know, usual stuff. We think she had fun!

The family headed North to New Hampshire for the weekend of August 18-19 to participate in the Timberman Triathlon festival.

Josh spent a week at Goalkeeper Camp in August. The camp was hosted by John’s prep school alma mater out in Easthampton.

Scout Camps

Both Jacob and Joshua got to attend Scout camps this summer!! It makes dad pretty happy that the guys are into Scouts!

Scouting’s 100th Anniversary

At 8:00 AM on the morning of August 1, 1907, General Robert Baden-Powell sounded a kudu horn to open the Brownsea Island camp for boys. 100 years later, Jake, Josh, and John joined Scouts and Scouters from the local Flintlock District and their guests at St. Theresa’s in North Reading to recreate that moment.
